Meet the Trainer - Never Quit Nick

If you haven't already had the pleasure of training with "Never Quit Nick" - we recommend doing so! We asked him to share some fun details about himself to help you get to know him better and to understand his story.
 

1) Is your background fitness related? Have you always wanted to be a personal trainer?

 
"I have 5 years of experience being a personal trainer. I completed a course with Fitvak, a Netherlands sports and exercise trade association. I also have certifications within Fit20. Yet, most of the things I learned were by training and being around people. I would say I am a practical learner."
 

2) What is your favorite thing about being a fit20 personal trainer?

 
"...Fitness and being around people are definitely high on the list of the things I want in life. I love helping people out, analyzing their problems, and getting them results. I think I am a pretty good motivator who can make people train hard while having a bit of fun at the same time."

3) How has the fit20 training method changed your life?

 
"A lot of things in life and in my life are not in a steady incline but fit20 is. Ever since I started this program, I get a little stronger each week. It builds a shield of muscles around my organs, ligaments, and bones. I grow older, but I keep feeling younger. I am more fit at the moment than I have ever been in my life. I also had lower back problems when hiking in the mountains. I don't have those anymore even when I hike for more than 6 hours!"
 

4) What are some of your hobbies or favorite things to do outside of work?

 
"I am into a lot of things that are intense and you have to put some effort into it. I like swimming in (cold) water and hiking in the mountains. I like exploring new area's and I love drinking IPA's after doing all these things."
 

5) If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

 
3 months of backpacking across Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand. Or the same period across a variation of countries in South America. Also driving all over America would be great. I want to see most of the world, I guess.
 
To live: Of all the places it would be Valencia, Spain. I like the Latin/Spanish culture and language.
6) What is your favorite fit20 exercise and why?
 
"Chest Press because it gives me such a rush and I get this tingling sensation."
 

7) What is your favorite food?

 
"Chicken - but food, in general, about the scenery, how you prepare it, and the people you are with."
 

8) Are you a morning person or a night owl?

 
"I am a night owl if I don't use my energy during the day. However, the last few years I have been pretty active so I am more of a morning person now."
 

9) What is your favorite sport or sports team?

 
"Definitely watching the UFC, it is the only sport that really gets my heartbeat up."
 

10) What three words best describe your personality?

 
"Enthusiastic, exploring and - according to our CEO, Aqil Radjab, committed." I, myself, would add easy-going to that."
